This course provides a practical introduction to common waterproofing application risks, using interactive 3D tours of bathroom, planter box, balcony and plant roof waterproofing works. It covers frequent on-site issues such as incorrect sealant application around water pipes, poor detailing at the base of plaster walls, raised water stops without grout underneath, water stops not extending to the required termination point, incorrect membrane sequencing, incorrect fall directions, undersized sealant joints, water ponding, and poor detailing around plinths.
It helps construction teams identify common waterproofing defects before they are covered up, understand the reasoning behind correct detailing, and improve inspection quality during key stages of waterproofing works.
