Course Description

This course provides a practical introduction to substrate preparation for waterproofing, covering work scheduling and planning, substrate repair works, concrete surface preparation methods, cleaning after preparation, over-flashing, and fixing methods and installation checks for water-stop angles.

This course is specifically designed for main contractors, builders, and their teams involved in managing, coordinating, and supervising substrate preparation—particularly concrete—prior to the application of waterproofing membranes.

We recommend completing the ‘Introduction to Waterproofing Systems’ course before beginning this module.

We engaged and sought feedback from a team of industry experts during the development of the Waterproofing System Application course.

Special thanks to Ron from Waterproofing compliance, Peter from Tremco, Andrew from Lendlease, Steve from ADCO Constructions, Nikita from Sarveli Consulting Engineers and last but not least, Patrick from Construction Quality Australia (CQA) who made the most significant contribution during the course development.
