Course Description

This course provides a practical introduction to structural steel connections, covering bolted connection fastening types, bolt tensioning methods, key tensioning considerations including bolt K classes, friction, and surface preparation, and welded connection types and site welding considerations.

It helps construction teams understand how steel connections should be installed, tensioned, welded, and inspected to improve structural performance, site coordination, and installation quality.

This course is designed for main contractors, builders, and their teams who are responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising works related to structural steel connections.

It is a fundamental-level course aimed at experienced and senior professionals. We recommend completing the ‘Introduction to Steel Structures’ course prior to starting this one, to ensure a solid foundational understanding.
