Course Description

This course provides a practical introduction to post-tensioned concrete systems, covering how post-tensioning works, the benefits of PT systems, PT tendon components, helix and anti-burst reinforcement, pan stressing and pan trimmers, one-way and two-way slabs, reading PT drawings, and common construction issues with PT slabs.

It helps construction teams understand how PT slabs are detailed, installed, stressed, and inspected on site to improve coordination, reduce construction risks, and avoid common defects.

This course is designed for main contractors, builders, and their teams who are responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising works related to post tensioning.

It is a fundamental-level course aimed at experienced and senior professionals. We recommend completing the ‘Introduction to Concrete Structures’ course prior to starting this one, to ensure a solid foundational understanding.
